Wappkit is designed to keep the website model simple and collect only the information needed to run product pages, checkout flows, license retrieval, and support.

Information we may process

Depending on the page or product flow, Wappkit may process:

  • license key
  • product identifier
  • device identifier used for license activation or deactivation

We only intend to use this information for product delivery, payment follow-up, license validation, license recovery, support, and abuse prevention.

License activation and recovery

Some Wappkit desktop products use a license-based activation model instead of a web account dashboard.

For those products, Wappkit may:

  • validate a license key
  • bind a license to a device
  • remove a license binding from a device
  • help the customer retrieve a lost key through the license retrieval flow

For example, Wappkit App Setup may send license-related data to Wappkit services so the app can validate Premium access and manage device binding.

Local data on your device

Some desktop products may store a local license session file on the user's device so the app can remember activation state.

For Wappkit App Setup, that may include a local file under:

  • %LOCALAPPDATA%\Wappkit\AppSetup\license-session.json

The website itself does not control the user's local file system, but this local behavior is part of the product experience and is disclosed here for clarity.

Third-party services

Wappkit may rely on third-party services for:

As of this policy update, Wappkit does not describe desktop product usage with an in-app advertising SDK or a mandatory account analytics dashboard by default.
